Norbit...is it really that bad? 🤔

Okay, hear me out. I know, I know, "Norbit". It's got a reputation. But I watched it again last night because it was on, and like... I still laugh. Eddie Murphy playing Rasputia is straight up ridiculous, I can't lie. When she's riding on that water slide and breaks it? Comedy gold. Okay, maybe not GOLD gold, but definitely like, bronze? Lol. But seriously, is it actually offensive or am I just desensitized by years of bad comedies? There's definitely some over-the-top stuff, but honestly, I found myself rooting for Norbit (the actual Norbit, not the, uh, other Norbit). He's such a wimp, but you wanna see him get away from Rasputia! And Queen Latifah is so sweet. Does anyone else think the movie gets a bad rap, or am I alone in finding some enjoyment in this disaster? I feel like people only remember the fat suits and forget the storyline. And another thing, how did Marlon Wayans end up in this movie?! Seriously, I always forget he's in it until he shows up. It's just a weirdly cast movie overall. So yeah, what are your honest opinions? Is it a comedy crime against humanity, or is it just a silly movie that people take to seriously?
