Baby Cart in the Land of Demons - That ending, though!?!

Okay, I just finished "Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in the Land of Demons" and wow. The whole concept of Ogami Itto having to fight these five guys, each with a piece of the puzzle... It's just so cool. I'm always drawn to stories where the characters are driven by something bigger than themselves, and Ogami's commitment to his path, his son, is just unflinching. Like, he's a total badass, but it's rooted in this strange sort of paternal love, right? The contrast there is just fascinating to me. But that ending... with the female assassin, Oyuki! The fight scene was brutal (like, WOW was it brutal), and her whole tragic backstor – wanting revenge for her parents' death, being exploited and brainwashed – makes her so much more than just a one-dimensional villain. She's clearly as much a victim as anyone else in the movie, maybe even more so considering what she's been through. And then she just basically... gives up? Accepting her fate? I'm not sure I fully bought it. Did anyone else feel like her transition from killer to... resigned... was a little rushed? I mean, I get the idea of Ogami showing her compassion, but the shift seemed so sudden. I almost felt like something got lost in translation, or maybe I’m just missing something more subtle happening in the performances. I need to rewatch that scene another time! Also, quick side note: Daigoro's little sled cart is seriously iconic. Even though he doesn't say much, the way he just observes everything is so captivating. What do you guys think about Daigoro's role in this particular movie? Is he as impactful here as it some of the others? I'm curious!
