Source Code kinda broke my brain (in a good way?)

Okay, so I just finished watching "Source Code" and wow. My head is still spinning a little bit. I went in pretty blind, only knowing it was some kind of sci-fi thriller, and man, did it deliver. The whole concept of reliving those last few minutes on the train over and over to find the bomber? Super stressful! I was biting my nails the whole time! And poor Colter Stevens, waking up in someone else's body all confused...Jake Gyllenhaal really nailed that sense of disorientation and determination. What REALLY got to me was the emotional connection he starts to build with Christina (Michelle Monaghan). I mean, he knows he's probably going to fail each time, and they're both going to die AGAIN, but he still tries to connect with her. That scene where he's trying to remember her name properly, and she jokes about it... it sounds silly, but it was so beautiful. It's like, even in the face of certain doom, the human need for connection still shines through. Ugh, I'm getting choked up just thinking about it. I'm not usually a big sci-fi person, I tend to lean towards dramas, but the way they wove the human element into this mind-bending plot really worked for me. Okay, I will confess some of the sciencey bits went over my head, and I'm still not 100% sure about all the time-travel paradox stuff, but honestly, I was too busy being emotionally invested to care too much. Did anyone else find themselves getting super attached to the characters even though they knew their fates? I need to know I'm not alone in this! Also, is it just me, or does the movie leave you with a tiny bit of hope at the very end? I really, REALLY hope he gets a happy ending in that alternate timeline. He deserves it after all that he went through. Okay, time to go rewatch it and try to understand the quantum physics bits this time... maybe.
