Watch Out, We're Mad! (1974) - They don't make 'em like this anymore!

Alright folks, scottscreens here, back with some vintage heat! Just rewatched "Watch Out, We're Mad!" (the 1974 one, not the remake – let's not even GO there). Seriously, this movie is pure, unadulterated chaos in the best way possible. Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are just *iconic* in this, like, peak buddy cop vibes but without the cop part. It's all about a dune buggy and revenge. What's not to love? The fight scenes are so over-the-top ridiculous, I was cracking up the whole time. The choir scene with the beer bottles? A classic for a reason! They just WENT for it. The guy they nicknamed Pagaj is so annoying and the scene with Pagaj and the hot dogs had me dying. Honestly, the plot is paper-thin, but who cares? It's all about the chemistry between Spencer and Hill and their ability to turn a simple disagreement into a full-blown slapstick war. The dubbing is gloriously bad, adding to the charm. I mean, some of the lines are just... special. They would never say 'oh' but in the dubbing they all 'Ohhh' all the time when they see something. Anyone who says they don't enjoy this movie is probably a liar or just doesn't appreciate the simple joys of watching two beefy dudes beat up goons in the most cartoonish way possible. The amount of food they eat is another hilarious thing to behold. Seriously, they're always snacking on something! Now, I'm not saying it's Citizen Kane or anything (though, can you imagine Spencer and Hill in a remake of *that*?), but if you're looking for a fun, mindless action-comedy that'll leave you grinning like an idiot, this is it. It's like comfort food for the eyes, you know? Plus, that "Dune Buggy" song is still stuck in my head. Definitely recommend giving it a watch if you haven't already, or revisiting it for some good ol' fashioned cheesy fun. 8/10 just for the sheer ridiculousness and the Spencer/Hill magic. Anyone else got any favorite moments from this? Let me know! I'm always looking for new quotes for the collection, especially the dub.
