Scenes From a Marriage - Yikes, anyone else feel like they were eavesdropping on a therapy session?

Okay, so I just finished watching *Scenes From a Marriage* (the old one from '74) with Sarah and Ben last night, and wow… that was INTENSE. I mean, I knew it was supposed to be a raw look at a break-up, but I was NOT prepared for how much it felt like we were just straight-up spying on Johan and Marianne's most private, painful moments. Like, I almost felt guilty watching at times! Did anyone else get that vibe? What really got to me was how real and messy it all was. It wasn't like some perfectly scripted drama, it was just... life. The way they'd build each other up one minute and tear each other down the next. I mean, Johan's character is so frustrating! Okay, but maybe that's the point. Why did he feel so he had to have an affair when everything seemed good? Also, the screaming matches... I've definitely heard similar stuff go down in real life, which is probably why it hit so hard, lol. Curious what you all thought of the performances? I thought the two leads were incredible, but also, because the movie felt so real, I was constantly thinking to myself "that is NOT how normal people react to finding out their spouse had an affair!" One thing that I was curious about is how honest you all think they were being with each other? I mean, it's clear that communication is like, a HUGE problem. But I wonder if they were ever really truly honest with each other, even before the whole affair thing blew up. Thoughts?
